Moshiach the Man

Moshiach means the "anointed one."

Maimonides lists a number of criteria that a person must fulfill to be Moshiach. For example, he must be a man who is born to human parents and have free choice. He must be a recognized leader and a Torah scholar. He must be devoted to others. Above all, he must be dedicated to serving G-d and spreading G-d's influence in the world.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, (1902-1994), the seventh leader in the Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty, and known all over the world as "the Rebbe" has met all these criteria.

For nearly five decades, the Rebbe worked to bring Moshiach to the world. His message was as universal as his mission, "You are Divinely gifted with enormous strength and energy -- actualize it!"

The following stories demonstrate that, despite the Rebbe's passing, the shepherd has not abandoned his flock. nor did he abandon his mission.
